Basics

First off there are four checkboxes to lthe left which determine which sectors are to be displayed. Unless you check at least one no map is shown.
According to this a part of the map is generated with all existing villages.
By moving the mouse pointer over the villages basic data about the village are displayed.
After clicking a village further details are shown in a popup window: If the player is member of an alliance information about the size of the alliance are shown. In case he owns further villages they are listed here, too. Furthermore there's an overview over the population's growth during the last days, as well as a direct link to send troops.

World

Should be self-explaining.

Your own name

Into this field you may enter your own player name (you can enter someone elses name, too). If you do that, your own villages will always be displayed, even if they don't match some of the filter functions that may have been applied.

Zoom

This determines the size of the map shown.

Player search

Then there's an input field for player's names. You may enter one or more names (separate them with commas). In case these players have villages in the selected sectors they are highlighted.

Filter: without ally only

If you check this box only villages of players that are not in an ally are shown. May be of interest in the search for farm targets.

Filter: Population

Two input fields for minimum and maximum population. If you enter something here only villages that match your limits are shown. May be of interest in the search for farm targets.

Filter: Tribes

Three checkboxes that determine which tribes are to be displayed. May be of interest in the search for farm targets.

Filter: Inactive

If you check this box only villages of 'inactive' players are shown.
Players are flagged inactive if there has been no growth of population in any of their villages during the last five days.
Note: This is just one indicator of course. They may have been only building troops as well.

Alliances

Probably of interest for diplomacy an war planning: You can have all villages of up to five alliances highlighted in different colors. Enter their names into the colored input fields. This provides you with a quick overview of their member's positions.

Traveltime calculation

To determine the traveltime between two villages do the following: Click the village where the journey is supposed to start and in the popup window click 'Set starting point for traveltime calculation'
If you now click onto another village on the map you get an overview over the traveltimes for the different types of units.
By choosing the button 'Reset starting point' you end the the traveltime calculation. If you just close the window instead you can click further villages and view the traveltimes.
